So as you probably saw on social media, last week Bay Street Shopping Complex hosted its first in-house fashion show. As a shopping complex, it’s home to a number of outlets and the show featured 20 different fashion brands including; Original Marines, Aldo, Adidas, Sketchers, Ipanema, Jennyfer, Misto, Dolce Plus, London F Café, Terranova, Guess, Calliope, Liu Jo, GoldenPoint, Trussardi, Sunlab, Bortex Women and Children, Pedro del Hierro, Cortefiel and Women’Secret.
Starting off with Original
Marines, we saw the cutest children dressed in either casual attire or
dressed to impress in more dressy outfits. The casual outfits consisted of a brighter
and floral colour scheme while the more dressy outfits had less going on with
stripes and pastels.
Moving onto Aldo,
the outfits consisted of denim and black shirt dresses to keep the center of attention on the accessories and
shoes. We saw lots of pink, reds and florals in both the shoe and accessory categories.
Pointed heels are so hot at the moment. And you should also go check out the
bags, cause as you can see they have the most beautiful and unique bags ever!
After we saw a few pieces from Adidas and Sketchers.
Now, I’m not the most sporty type (I’m more Posh Spice than Sporty Spice 😉)
but the bright and floral patterns really intrigued me. And the sneakers looked
amazingly comfortable, I love dressing down outfits with a good pair of
sneakers!
Up next we saw Jennyfer,
showcasing pieces from edgy leather jackets to leather heels together with a bright
red leather jacket, dress and bags. From Misto
and Dolce Plus we saw some
florals; from floral dresses from Misto to floral shirts by Dolce Plus. Black
was also in the main colour scheme, seeing a black dress paired with a floral
bag and black maxi dresses with large floral prints. London F Café was one of my favourites. The blue cocktail
dress with the strapless sweetheart neckline was so me! And I also loved the
two piece black floral outfit with the puffy skirt!
Terranova presented more casual and festival inspired clothing
with lots of fringe. From Guess
my favourites were the denim jumpsuits, the beautifully fitted black and white
dress and the flowy ethereal white maxi which makes me so excited for summer. Calliope
showcased the most beautiful spring green jumpsuit accessorised with a beige
scarf and heels – definitely a fave! And I’m obsessed with the Liu Jo denim dungaree!
Goldenpoint showed us some of their beautiful swimwear pieces ranging from bikinis to one-piece swimsuits. Trussardi showcased a lot of smart-casual outfits, with loads of shirts and perfect-fit jeans. Bags were also included as a focus point, ranging from bright to black and floral. Sunlab was up next, with casual bags and different sunglasses which means there’s something for everyone. From blazers to tailored pants, Bortex Women and Children displayed key pieces to add to your wardrobe, with pieces which would make a great day-to-night outfit.
Pedro del Hierro presented us with gorgeous outfits. They also focused on lime yellow and purple which although it’s not really a colour-combo I’d wear, they really made a wonderful combination. The colour red was the focal point with Cortefiel. Red blazers, pants and dresses – bright and fun. I loved the combination of blue and white stripes with red.
Women’Secret was the final show of the night; from swimwear to
lingerie – perfect for the upcoming summer. My favourites were the silk ivory
two piece pjs, the black baby doll which oozes mystery and the stripey bikini
which has a very summery feel to it.
The show ended with a bang – literally! Confetti and
heart-shaped balloons floating up in the sky. After the event, nibbles and
prosecco was served while we had time to network and catch up with fellow
bloggers.
Thank you to all involved in the organising of this
wonderful fashion show.
A big thank you also goes to Mark Soler and Chrissy Toledo for letting me use these gorgeous shots from the show!
