Ecophane Biorga Hair and Nail Supplements: 1st Month Update*

As promised (and highly requested), I’m sharing with you all my feelings and progress after finishing my first box of Ecophane Biorga tablet supplements for hair and nails. When reading this post, keep in mind that this is the first month out of a 3 month course.

Containing Cystine, Vitamins B5 & B6, Biotine, Vitamin PP and Zinc, these supplements are supposed to make your hair softer, smoother, shinier whilst making the nails stronger and brighter.

So as I told you in the Facebook Post on my page, on the 25th of September I started a course of Ecophane Biorga tablets which are supplements to help you strengthen your hair and nails. You just take 2 pills a day with a large glass of water after meals (I’m taking one after breakfast and one after dinner) for a period of 3 months.

The first thing I noticed is that my nails got stronger – they break less often and even the nail bed and tip feels stronger (and even thicker if you can grasp what I mean). I’m not one to get my nails done so since I rock my natural nails I can see and feel the difference. Moving onto the hair, I can’t show you a before and after picture of how much it grew as I have just gotten a trim, however I can definitely confirm that they do help the hair grow faster. As I told you in the Facebook post, my main concern is hair loss (during the autumnal months I shed like a Labrador which is something I detest). As I result of this, I paid more attention to this aspect and I definitely noticed that since I’ve started taking them I’m losing less hair.  In addition to this, when it comes to blow drying it, it’s more manageable, softer and shinier (you can notice this from photos I’ve taken in the past month).

Before I started this course, I was told by my hairdresser that my hair was breaking off – it had so many split ends that I could swear my hair was growing shorter! With these supplements I’m hoping that in the long term, this happens less. And from the progress I saw during the first month, I’m very hopeful that they will do just that.

So, one month down – 2 to go! So far I’m loving these supplements! Can’t wait to finish the 2nd pack so I can share with you the progress and how far my hair and nails have come along!

Review & Swatches: Pupa Milano #Ready4Selfie Palette, Like a Doll Maxi Blush and Pupa Volume Lipstick*

Pupa Milano has always been a staple brand in Malta.

Earlier this year Pupa Milano launched their famous #Ready4Selfie Contouring and Strobing Palette. I’ve been meaning to review it for you lovelies, however I never got round to do it. However now that it’s getting colder and we start putting more makeup on due to the fact that it stays on longer (goodbye hot and sweaty days!).

The Strobing and Contouring Palette is not only pretty to look at (the reflective compact is super duper pretty!) but it is also of amazing quality. It comes with 4 different powders; a highlighting shade and a light, medium and dark contour.

The light contouring shade works great as an under eye setting powder as it is a matte finely-milled powder which does not settle in the creases. While, the medium and dark work best for bronzing and contouring respectively. Focusing on the dark contouring shade, it’s more cool toned (than the medium contour) so it’s perfect for contouring. And like I already mentioned, the warm contour is best for bronzing up the face without leaving it looking orange. You need to be very light handed with these powder because they are highly pigmented so a little bit goes a long way. They’re also highly blendable, almost as if having a buttery formula.

The Pupa Milano #Ready4Selfie Contouring & Strobing Palette has everything one needs and at €19.90 for four powders, I think it's worth a try.

Moving on, we have the Like a Doll Maxi Blush which is a new kind of blush which helps enrich the face with a very nice velvety texture which is both pigmented and blendable.  In this range, there are 9 shades available. I have shade 201 which is a subtle peachy pink, perfect for every season. It also comes with the softest fan-like brush, which unlike other brushes that come with palettes/blush, this one actually works. It picks up enough colour to give you that subtle hint of blush which you can build on should you want to.

Lastly, we have the Pupa Volume Lipstick. It is said to give the lips volume of 5% after 10 minutes of wear which increases to 12% after continuous use (7 days). I can’t comment on the 7 days part as I constantly change which lipstick I use, but I can notice a subtle plump upon applying which makes the lips look soft and healthy.  I have the shade 601 which is a pinkish red. I can tell you that it was a shade which I used constantly during the spring and summer months as it is both hydrating and opaque leaving the lips feeling soft and plump.

I would definitely recommend these products, however, if you’re on a budget and you don’t want to buy everything from this post, I would definitely recommend you go for the contouring palette as it is amazing!

I hope you enjoyed today’s post and I wish you all a happy weekend!

Love always, Thereseanne.

The Beauty Club Malta, a new one stop shop for leading beauty brands, shall be opening its doors to the public tomorrow! How exciting is that?! Today, together with other bloggers, I was invited to see the shop and its amazing products, before they opened and I thought I’d share a sneak peek of The Beauty Club on the eve of its opening.

Walking into Debenhams, opposite the MAC counter, one can find The Beauty Club; with a dreamy yet minimalistic display, one can see all the brands beautifully showcased. Brands include Clinique, Estee Lauder, Aerin and the awaited Tom Ford which will be newly launched tomorrow and only available at The Beauty Club.

Aerin, which is also being launched tomorrow and is exclusive to Debenhams, is a brand owned by the grand-daughter of Estee Lauder. From this brand, at The Beauty Club, one can find the most gorgeous of perfume bottles! I took a liking especially to the ones with the semi-precious stones on the cap – so girly and lush!

Tom Ford Beauty is a luxury beauty brand that created cult favourites like their signature Lip Colour range as well as Traceless Foundation, Cheek Colour, and Cream Colour for Eyes. My favourite product from those available at The Beauty Club has to be the Reflects Gilt Sheer Highlighting Duo but the bronzer compact and lipsticks also caught my eye (they’re beautiful, both texture and packaging wise!)

I also uploaded a glimpse on instastories so you can check that out by searching @thereseannesammut.

They’re launching tomorrow at Debenhams so go check them out!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
