Review & Swatches: Pupa Milano #Ready4Selfie Palette, Like a Doll Maxi Blush and Pupa Volume Lipstick*

Pupa Milano has always been a staple brand in Malta.

Earlier this year Pupa Milano launched their famous #Ready4Selfie Contouring and Strobing Palette. I’ve been meaning to review it for you lovelies, however I never got round to do it. However now that it’s getting colder and we start putting more makeup on due to the fact that it stays on longer (goodbye hot and sweaty days!).

The Strobing and Contouring Palette is not only pretty to look at (the reflective compact is super duper pretty!) but it is also of amazing quality. It comes with 4 different powders; a highlighting shade and a light, medium and dark contour.

The light contouring shade works great as an under eye setting powder as it is a matte finely-milled powder which does not settle in the creases. While, the medium and dark work best for bronzing and contouring respectively. Focusing on the dark contouring shade, it’s more cool toned (than the medium contour) so it’s perfect for contouring. And like I already mentioned, the warm contour is best for bronzing up the face without leaving it looking orange. You need to be very light handed with these powder because they are highly pigmented so a little bit goes a long way. They’re also highly blendable, almost as if having a buttery formula.

The Pupa Milano #Ready4Selfie Contouring & Strobing Palette has everything one needs and at €19.90 for four powders, I think it's worth a try.

Moving on, we have the Like a Doll Maxi Blush which is a new kind of blush which helps enrich the face with a very nice velvety texture which is both pigmented and blendable.  In this range, there are 9 shades available. I have shade 201 which is a subtle peachy pink, perfect for every season. It also comes with the softest fan-like brush, which unlike other brushes that come with palettes/blush, this one actually works. It picks up enough colour to give you that subtle hint of blush which you can build on should you want to.

Lastly, we have the Pupa Volume Lipstick. It is said to give the lips volume of 5% after 10 minutes of wear which increases to 12% after continuous use (7 days). I can’t comment on the 7 days part as I constantly change which lipstick I use, but I can notice a subtle plump upon applying which makes the lips look soft and healthy.  I have the shade 601 which is a pinkish red. I can tell you that it was a shade which I used constantly during the spring and summer months as it is both hydrating and opaque leaving the lips feeling soft and plump.

I would definitely recommend these products, however, if you’re on a budget and you don’t want to buy everything from this post, I would definitely recommend you go for the contouring palette as it is amazing!

I hope you enjoyed today’s post and I wish you all a happy weekend!

Love always, Thereseanne.
