With Autumn being less than a month away, brands worldwide start launching their new collections inspired by the upcoming season. And what better way to start preparing for my favourite seasons (obviously being Autumn and Winter) than by starting to dig in the new collections?

Franks, one of my (and most Maltese people’s) favourite one-stop-shops when it comes to beauty, just launched the new Fall 2017 collection by Guerlain Paris. As everyone knows, Guerlain is a high-end, luxury makeup brand so it’s slightly on the more expensive side but let’s admit it, everyone deserves to treat themselves once in a while, no? Well, the new collection revolves mainly around the lips, launching the KISSKISS Matte Lipsticks, Intense Liquid Matte Lipsticks and as you saw in my latest giveaway 2 lip contouring palettes. On that account, let me tell you about 2 of these newly launched products!

The KISSKISS Matte Lipsticks boast a hydrating and plumping formula; they’re opaque and pigmented while being comfortable and lightweight on the lips as though a balm. I have just one tip; before applying it I recommend exfoliating your lips so you get the perfect application. I have the shade M377 in Wild Plum. Berry and plum colours are always a must have for Fall and this lipstick just ticks all the boxes. This shade is just somewhere between a plum and a berry shade, as it has a hint of pink in it. It’s also not that vampy so it is a perfect shade for transitioning from Summer to Autumn. Another thing I should mention is that I’m obsessed with the packaging! The gorgeous, matte soft gold packaging makes it such a luxurious statement accessory in ones’ bag. Definitely something you’d want to show off!

Staying on topic of lip products; also joining the Fall line-up are the Intense Liquid Matte Lipsticks. I guess we haven’t seen the last of matte liquid lipsticks, and although I’m not a fan of liquid lipsticks, this one seems to be more wear-friendly in my opinion. For someone who suffers with chronic dry and flaky lips, the formula doesn’t seem to dry out my lips further and does not stick and accentuate dry patches, which is amazing.

They have a creamy/velvety texture and applies like a lip gloss but after a few minutes, it dries down to a gorgeously pigmented and comfortable opaque matte lip. The reasons behind the comfort of this product is in the ingredients; it contains hyaluronic acid and tiger grass which apparently give the formula of this liquid lipstick a hydrating effect. As you can see I have the shade W69 in Attractive Plum which is the most gorgeous autumn colour. Also a plus is the packaging. The tube has an ombre effect starting from black and fading into the colour of the lipstick which makes it both easy to find when searching for it in your drawer and pretty to keep in your bag.

You can find Guerlain Paris in any Franks Outlet.

I can’t wait for colder months, rainy days, cosy sweaters and of course bold plum lips!

Wishing you all a wonderful week!

What's New at Rimmel London

Considering the amount of new products that come out every season from a multitude of high-end and drugstore brands, I’m still never able to resist trying them out. Luckily, from time to time I get to receive new products to try out from some of my favourite brands, which I’m tremendously grateful for.

This Summer, Rimmel London came out with loads of new products and courtesy of Rimmel London Malta, I got to try them out so I could share my thoughts with all of you lovelies.

So let’s delve into it!

Starting off this post, we have the Magnif'Eyes Palette in the shade London Nudes Calling. It contains 8 different rosey-nude shades ranging from matte to shimmery. Now to be honest with you the mattes are not as pigmented as I hoped they would be, but the shimmery ones make up for that – they are super pigmented and creamy so they blend like a dream on the lid. The palette is also quite compact and travel-friendly, having a nice sized mirror which you can use on the go.

Moving on, we have the Scandaleyes Bold Eyeliner. After reading some negative reviews, it got me really intrigued in giving it out a try myself. The liquid liner has a ball-tip applicator which I thought would make it harder to make a precise line, but boy was I wrong! It is so easy to use, and as you will see in the photo further below, it applies a mean winged liner. It boasts to be waterproof and stays on for a good 24 hours which I have not tested out myself so I can’t comment on that. But as a liquid liner, it's quite good.

Next up we have the Radiance Shimmer Brick. It comes in 2 shades – 01 which is for lighter skintones, and 02 which is for more bronzy-olive skin tones. Since I’m quite fair, I got mine in the shade 01. It gives a nice bronzy glow to the skin without being over the top. I just love it for everyday use – for that healthy glowing look.

At last we have my new found holy grail mascara. The Volume Shake Mascara packs the pigment while giving your lashes the volume they need – I was even asked if I were wearing false eyelashes when wearing this mascara! It does not clump and has a new shaking-system which refreshes the formula each time you shake it.  Overall, I think it’s a wonderful mascara.

Have a lovely Sunday!
