Review: Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick No.13 | Classic Red Lip & Cat-Eye Combo

When in doubt, wear red…

This lipstick, like each one from the Rouge Edition, comes in a glossy black plastic case with BOURJOIS embossed on one surface. At the bottom you can clearly see the colour of the lipstick which makes it easier when you’re trying to find it in a hurry. . .

It promises a ready to wear formula which is enriched with ¼ of pure lacquer for a radiant, glossy finish and orchid blossom extract so it glides onto the lips leaving them feeling smooth, hydrated and protected for up to 10 hours and it definitely delivers. Upon application, it glided on with such ease, and my lips felt deliciously plumped and juicy afterwards. Another thing that I love about this lipstick is that it doesn’t settle into fine lines or highlight any dry patches and this is all thanks to its heavenly creamy texture which leaves the lips feeling luxuriously smooth.

Rouge Jet Set is an 'ultra glamorous classic red'. It is more of a mid-tone red, but at the same time it contains subtle blue undertones and because of that, it’s a staple shade in anyone's collection.

As you can see in the photos that it has a gorgeous sheen and a really intense colour. I love it and think it looks and feel way more expensive than the 11.55 this baby is going for.

If you're Maltese, you can find this lipstick in local pharmacies and it retails for  11.55. If you're more of an online shopper or live elsewhere you can find it on lookfantastic.com where it retails for  11.42 or on feelunique.com at  11.27.

Also, I hope you love this look as much as I do. It’s such a classic look; it can be worn all year round from mornings to evenings and if you plan on wearing it on a night out you can either wear it like this or spicing it up by adding a bit of eye-shadow and contouring a bit more. It never goes out of style and it’s fairly simple. You can never go wrong with this look!

Have you tried any other colours in this range or any other Bourjois products that stand out and I should know about?
