The Lookfantastic Beauty Box is a monthly beauty subscription from the UK. It costs around €21 while
the shipping is free. In every box you’ll get a hand-picked selection of must
have beauty fixes (minimum of 6 products), which are wrapped in a beautifully
presented box and delivered straight to your door. A fold out information card comes in each box, along with product
details and tips/benefits for use. As a bonus LookFantastic are offering an exclusive 20% off all brands featured in this month’s box AND £10 vouchers for selected Hut Group brands. This was my first time ordering a beauty box as I was tempted into ordering it because I saw that September marks the first birthday of the LookFantastic beauty boxes so I thought I should give it a try.
Now onto the products..
(Left to Right) First
up we have a generous 60ml sample of Monu Tanworx Tan Maintainer (120ml, RRP €19.46) Tanworx Tan Maintainer combines carrot oil, coconut oil and sunflower oil to moisturise the skin, plus Hyaluronic Acid and Seaweed to create a formula that maintains your tan for longer. Working to avoid tanning streaks on your arms, legs and body, the tan maintainer moisturises your skin to help your tan last longer. Unfortunately I won’t be using this product as I do not self tan.
Moving on is a trio of skincare, starting with 25ml sample of Codage Creme Gommante (50ml, RRP €39). This is a rich and soothing emulsion made from fine rice particles which enables superior facial exfoliation. Suitable for even the most sensitive skin types, it eliminates impurities and dead skin cells, while stimulating collagen production and promoting elasticity and cellular renewal. The result is a smooth, even and glowing complexion.
The next items are a 10ml sample of Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S. Thirst Quenching Serum (30ml retails for €40.31) and 10ml of the Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet (40ml, RRP €31.47). This is a highly hydrating, 97% natural skincare duo, ideal for dehydrated skin. Thanks to a blend of active ingredients, including Organic Grape Water and hyaluronic acid, the Vinosource range restarts skin’s internal moisturising mechanism, regulates water exchange and restores the moisture balance of your skin. Upon application, it is said that your skin will look instantly moisturised, supple and looks fresher. The fragrance of mandarin blossom, lemon leaf, cucumber water and fresh mint is light, zesty and very uplifting.
Finishing off our skincare trio is the Bliss Foaming Facial Wash (60ml retails for €9.73) in a 30ml sample size. This oil-free face wash, which doubles up as an exfoliator is Bliss’ best-selling cleanser. Botanical extracts such as rose hip extract, passion flower, milk thistle, and chamomile help calm and soothe the skin to leave it wonderfully clean and clear without stripping skin of its natural moisture, while glycerine boosts hydration. At the same time, exfoliating beads gently polish.
Next up are two of three haircare products; a 50ml shampoo and conditioner from the Sebastian Professional FOUNDATION range. The Sebastian Professional Penetraitt Shampoo and Conditioner are dedicated to strengthening and repairing over processed, chemically treated hair. Helping to guard the hair from every day stresses and deeply penetrating to remove debris and product build up. The rich formula is supposed to reconstruct the hair follicles and effectively cleanse for revitalised, strong and soft results.
The final product is the Phyto Phytokeratine Extreme Cream
Conditioner (100ml, €36.83) in a 30ml travel size. This is a luxurious,
heat-protective leave-in cream designed for those with ultra-dry, brittle, and damaged
hair of all types promises to deeply nourish, regenerate and repair all damaged
hair types whilst facilitating styling and providing protecting up to 220°C.
Using this product each time you style will increase the hair’s smoothness, shine,
strength, and manageability while preventing breakage, dryness, and frizz. Looking forward to trying this one!
