It’s been a while since my last skincare post, so today I want to tell you a bit about 2 products from Payot France which I’ve been loving recently! You know that Payot is a skin care brand which I personally love and I’m always on the hunt for the next fantastic product to share with you lovers of skincare.

Today I shall be talking to you about Payot Crème N˚2 Range, which has been designed specifically for sensitive and reactive skin. Each product makes use of natural active ingredients proven to help soothe redness and irritation. These products came at the best time as I’ve been doing a peeling treatment to lighten my acne scars and I wanted something natural as not to irritate my freshly peeled skin.

Payot Crème N˚2 Eau Lactee Micellaire
This cleanser is a milk-lotion type of cleanser which you apply on a cotton pad (the pump is fantastic as you don’t waste any product) and apply to your face to remove makeup and cleanse the skin. It is quite delicate and gentle, which is a factor that I love. The creamy texture also leaves a refreshing feeling on your skin and it soothes any redness or sensitivity. Another aspect I love is the fact that it is fragrance-free, which is makes it the best product for sensitive skin (especially after my peeling sessions!)

Although I love this product, I will still continue to use an oil to remove my make up first as I hate using a lot of cotton pads, however, this is a fantastic product to go in for a double cleanse and remove any makeup residue (as we all know that no matter how hard you try and remove all your makeup in one go, you still need to go in with another product to get rid of it). This product is the perfect cleanser as the final cleanser in your double cleansing routine.

Payot Crème N˚2 L’Essentielle Soothing and Comforting Balm

This product is a soothing moisturizer in the form of a melt in balm. Upon application it truly melts into your skin and you feel as if you don’t have anything on your face. However, for me it felt as a hydrating and soothing layer of goodness on your skin. This product acts as a true natural shield and instantly soothes redness and the feeling of discomfort. It also rebalances the skin flora to strengthen the skin’s defenses. It's the perfect everyday moisturizer!

Both these products are made from the most skin-friendly ingredients to ensure maximum compatibility with the skin, so if you have sensitive skin these products are definitely the ones for you!

Hope you enjoyed today’s read! Please do check out Payot France Skincare as from what I’ve tried so far, they’re some of my favourite products to date!

Payot products can be found in all Franks Outlets.

Hope you all have a lovely week!

Love, Thereseanne

So you’re invited to an event and the location is Vincent’s Eco Estate’s Skorba Farmhouse, a location surrounded by fields, fruit and vegetables – so the first question you ask is, but what do I wear?

That is why I popped in at The Dressing Room in Naxxar. Sometimes you just want something different, an outfit which you won’t see a multitude of and The Dressing Room is that shop – they only get a few of each item of clothing, and let me just say, their clothes are just gorgeous. I didn’t know what type of outfit I wanted as the event I was invited to – The Pink Tea Garden, organized by The Times of Malta’s Pink Magazine – was the first of its kind. The event described itself as a wellness event in the heart of nature; which meant not our usual dress code!

Onto the outfit; I’m usually one to wear pants, I’m a girly girl yet always felt more comfortable in pants, especially these past few years since I’ve gained some weight. There was plenty of choice at The Dressing Room and after trying on multiple outfits (all including pants), the lovely owner Louise suggested an outfit which at first I was hesitant to try on as it didn’t include pants, but as soon as I put it on we immediately settled on it – a gorgeous pleated skirt and a white broderie-style frilly shirt. A feminine outfit which screams Spring, sophisticated and still Vincent’s Eco Estate appropriate.

You’ll definitely be seeing more outfits from The Dressing Room Malta on this blog – because like I said, they have some gorgeous and cool outfits which you won’t see in every shop on this tiny island (and at a fantastic price too!). Click here to visit their Facebook page

Hope you liked the outfit as much as I did!

My Melts Malta | A Healthier Take on Scented Candles

My Melts Malta | A Healthier Take on Scented Candles

Do you love candles? I know I do! But did you know that the normal candles which are made using paraffin wax create toxins when burned? This was news to me, and that is why the day I learnt about this I switched to melts.

I visited My Melts a couple of weeks ago, and Stacey, the founder, gave me a brief summary of what makes her melts different from the usual scented candle. Firstly, they are made from eco soy wax which for one thing is healthier for both your health and the environment as it is derived from natural vegetables while paraffin is said to contain carcinogenic compounds which are released in the air that we breathe when burnt. Surprising, I know and not in a good way!

Secondly, soy wax scents are stronger, cleaner and more pleasant – Stacey makes sure to use the best ingredients (which are organic and natural) for her clients as she told me that her aim is to provide her customers with a product that she believes in and loves herself.

I’ve been burning the melts I chose non-stop – Stacey has a wonderful variety for her customers to choose from, and let me tell you, it’s not easy to choose – they all smell divine! The melts come in the shape of a heart, split in two (although you have the option to buy half), which you put at the top of a candle burner. This way the candle is not burnt directly as the flame never touches the melt.

The scents range from identical copies of beloved perfumes such as Chanel and Victoria Secret’s Love Spell, to vanilla and coffee blends, fruity blends, floral ones and clean ones – and my favourite ‘out of the oven’ blends which make the house smell as if you have been baking all day – coincidentally, I put on the Almond Bake melt and my dad thought that he’d be walking in to find figolli ready, but it was the melt ha! I’ve also been loving the Baby Powder melt from the clean range which is a subtle scent, perfect for when you’re done cleaning and want something soothing yet not overpowering!

On the other hand, at My Melts one also finds ‘Aromatherapy blends’ in the form of a butterfly. There are 9 different scents, each has a different purpose – Breathe Easy (which is safe for those who suffer from asthma), Immune Booster, Mozzie Free, Lemon, Lavender & Patchouli (for those who suffer from anxiety and stress - I adore this one), Erotica, Lavender & Chamomile (which helps fight depression and insomnia), Citronella, Eucalyptus (for chesty coughs and colds) and Eucalyptus & Peppermint (for sinus relief and colds).

My Melts offers a wide variety of other products related to essential oils and well-being including wardrobe fragrances amongst others. You can also purchase handmade products in collaboration with local artisans including their custom-made My Melts Burners.

I hope you enjoyed reading my latest post, and that you took something out of it! Do check out My Melts as they do not only smell absolutely amazing, but they’re also a healthier version of a scented candle both for you and your loved ones and the environment.

Apart from their shop in Mosta, you also have the option to purchase online from their website linked here.

Happy Mid-Week!
