Recently Malta Warehouse, an online supermarket in Malta, contacted me with an offer to collaborate with them by reviewing some of the products they sell in their shop. To commence this collaboration, the first product they sent me was a lovely Montagne Jeunesse face mask. Now, to tell you the truth I had never heard or tried any masks from this brand so I was very looking forward to testing it out. So let’s start!

Montagne Jeunesse is a cruelty free and vegetarian-friendly company therefore their masks are suitable for most people. They have an extensive range of masks catering for different skin types however the one I was sent was the Red Hot Earth Anti-Stress Sauna Masque. First of all, it comes in a 15ml packet and if used sparingly, you can get 2 uses out of it. The mask is a deep-cleansing one for normal to oily skin, with red self-heating clay to relax and de-stress.

As the name suggests, this sauna masque heats up on contact with the skin. It's warming sensation opens up your pores and deep cleans them leaving a soft and smooth looking skin. The texture of this masque is slightly sticky yet gooey so it’s very easily to put on and remove. It also has a very sweet summery smell and a fun colour - it’s pink!

All in all, I very much liked my first MJ mask. It left my skin soft, smooth and clean. I can’t wait to try out more from their range! They’re so great for a little pampering and relaxing session.

Have you ever tried their affordable masks? If your answer is no and you #lovebargains, check out Malta Warehouse!

Empties | Beauty Products I've Used Up

Empties | Beauty Products I've Used Up

So I’ve used up a few things over the past few months. This is so weird as I usually never finish up a product because I always tend to look for new products and then end up gravitating more towards the new product than the old one. But now I’m changing my way of doing things as I’m trying to finish up my products before buying new ones as for some odd reason it gives me a real sense of achievement. I love trying out new products – some people might stick to the same regimen but I on the other hand am always on the lookout for new products as I haven’t found the most effective skin care and hair care routines. Once I’ll have a fixed regimen (don’t hold your breath as I think there still is a long way to go until that day arrives) I’ll make sure to upload a new post about it.

So now onto my beauty product empties.

Anatomicals - the company that ‘Only Wants You For Your Body’.  They manufacture some of the most budget-friendly products out there and to add to their amazingness – their products are paraben free and most importantly cruelty free (they DO NOT test on animals).

Neutrals..

Who doesn't love them? A couple of days
before Christmas I hit the drug-store to find a new eye-liner pen to replace my Essence one as I ran out, but instead I ended up leaving with 2 new lipsticks. Essence cosmetics is the one of the brand I started with a few years back; it’s affordable, it’s products are of great quality and the best part – it does NOT test on animals.

The 2 lipsticks I got are from their ‘Longlasting Lipstick Range’. I’m a sucker for neutrals, and when I saw and swatched these 2 amazing shades, I had to get them. The first one I got is 06 Barely There! But they wrong.. because it’s definitely there! One could describe the colour as pinkish-brown –almost mauvy, it’s texture is lightweight and buttery and it’s wear time stays true to its name because it lasts even when you have a habit of licking, rubbing or biting your lips (like I do). The second one I got is 15 Oh so Matt! It’s your typical warm nude shade, it’s also a bit less creamy compared to Barely There! and it’s definitely not matte, as it has a semi-glossy finish.

One thing I’m not a big fan of is their scent and taste as they kinda smell like my mother’s old lipsticks. Also, they are both a bit drying on the lips, but nothing that a quick swipe of lip balm can’t fix.

(In my country – Malta) These retail for €2.40 each which is a relatively good price for their fully opaque colour, buttery texture and long wear time. Overall I would give these lipsticks and 4.3 out of 5.
